Crafting Bold Visuals to support true Healing

At the heart of Jana Liebig’s holistic healing venture is a profound mission to guide individuals through transformative journeys, navigating the depths of trauma toward self-discovery and awareness. In her one-on-one sessions, Jana creates a unique space for her clients to explore the interconnected realms of psychology, somatic experience, and spirituality, building a unique and personalized healing experience. Her work is not just about healing; it’s a celebration of personal growth, empowerment, and the discovery of inner strength.

A Call to Authenticity

Jana had been self-employed for a few years, mainly gaining clients through word-of-mouth recommendations. Despite her great impact, Jana did not have a brand to support her and help her grow. She lacked a visual identity, her self-made website was unpublished - feeling too soft and not reflective of the depth of her offerings and personality; and social media? Non-existent, leaving her with no clear way to reach new clients. Jana needed a brand that screamed authenticity and attracted clients ready for deep, inner journeys.

She saw the work I did for Svenja Tasler’s branding and believed I could help her craft a brand as powerful and unique as her healing practice. And so, our collaboration began!

The Branding Quest

Mapping the Landscape: Discovery and Research

Our adventure kicked off with a discovery call where we set our primary goal: to build a brand identity that authentically represents Jana and fosters trust among her potential clients. We dove deep into understanding her business, market, and audience. Market research and competitor analysis revealed a sea of sameness among her competitors, giving us a golden opportunity to stand out.

Diving Deep: Brand Workshop & Strategy

The next step was building the foundation for the brand. This is certainly not an easy task, but through a complete Brand Workshop, we uncovered Jana's personality, purpose, vision, mission, and values.

We defined her brand personality as wise, real, and a bit magical, presenting Jana as a caring friend with deep emotional understanding and solid theoretical knowledge. The brand is also funny and a bit quirky sometimes, which makes the journey of self-discovery fun, approachable, and even an enjoyable experience.

We also narrowed down her audience and defined her tone of voice. This clarity helped us craft a brand that was both distinctive and relatable.

Visual Alchemy: Brand Identity Design

Once the strategy was set in place, I sought the collaboration of a dear friend of mine from university: Maria Claudia (MC) to help me out with the visuals, since I realized right away that her design style was suiting perfectly the brand’s needs.

We asked Jana to create some mood boards to visually represent her ideas and attributes, which we used to align on a cohesive vision. With this vision in mind, we then presented three Stylescapes, each offering a different approach to the brand’s visuals.

Jana chose the middle one as a starting point. Through revisions and feedback, we crafted a unique Stylescape that fully captivated Jana's vision and struck the perfect balance between boldness and warmth.

With this basis, we started designing the final assets for the brand and collaterals.

The Brand Awakening

Together, we crafted a powerful and distinctive brand identity for Jana. The visual identity harmoniously blends intensity with tranquility, reflecting the journey of healing. The intense red colors in the palette symbolize passion and depth, while subtle coral hues illustrate the transition from darkness to light. Teal accents add a calming and playful element, creating a dynamic balance between strong emotions and soothing tones.

Typography-wise, we used a mix of Italic Serif and Clean Sans Serif fonts to achieve a balance of professionalism and approachability and to add some nice aesthetics to the table.

Handwritten elements and graphics maintained authenticity and warmth, presenting the brand as a reliable and compassionate guide. The photo style embraced surreal, dreamy, and transformative imagery, evoking emotions and a sense of wonder.

These visuals symbolized the profound experiences clients might encounter during their healing journey, enhancing the overall aesthetic and emotional resonance of the brand.

Jana and her clients were thrilled with the results. She highlighted the 'epic designs', the clear organization of information, and the vibrant colors that perfectly aligned with her vision. Despite a few minor tweaks, her feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Jana was also pleased with our responsiveness and patience throughout the collaboration.

With her new brand identity, Jana gained clarity about her business, structured her services properly, and now has the tools to communicate all of that beautifully and powerfully. Jana is ready to launch her enchanting brand and reach more clients who resonate with her unique approach to healing.

Paulo has created a brand design that to this day sparks the brightest joy inside of me. I feel so seen and represented in my deepest essence and receiving this magic was a big blessing. Looking at his other projects one can see that Paulo is capable of a grand variety of styles, tuning into the unique character of each client he's working with.
